Alex graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and has since gained extensive experience working across professional cricket, semi-professional rugby, and football. He specialises in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, with a particular interest in adolescent sports injuries.
As a registered Kids Back 2 Sport practitioner, Alex has completed advanced training under internationally renowned physiotherapist Angela Jackson. This enables him to accurately diagnose and treat young athletes, helping them stay active, pain-free, and performing at their best.
Alex takes a patient-centred approach to treatment and rehabilitation, creating a supportive and engaging environment tailored to each individual’s sporting and lifestyle goals. By combining evidence-based treatment with sport-specific rehabilitation, he helps patients regain confidence, improve performance, and return to the activities they enjoy.
Alongside his clinical work, Alex is an Associate Lecturer at the University of the West of England, where he supports students during their placements at the UWE Glenside Sports Injury Clinic. He also continues to work within semi-professional rugby, providing medical support to clubs in Bristol and maintaining his close involvement in sport following his own experience playing high-level rugby for both university teams and the Bristol Bears Academy.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys staying active in the gym and playing both cricket and rugby for local clubs. He is also the clinic’s DonJoy knee brace fitting specialist, with experience fitting a wide range of functional knee braces.
