What is Shoulder Pain?

Shoulder pain occurs when the joint or surrounding muscles and tendons become irritated, overloaded, or injured. Often linked to repetitive overhead activity or poor movement patterns.

Characteristics / Clinical Presentation 

• Pain with overhead movement
• Weakness or difficulty lifting objects
• Clicking or catching
• Stiffness or reduced shoulder motion
• Postural contributions

Clinical Diagnosis

Assessment includes range of motion, rotator cuff and scapular strength, posture, and orthopedic testing.

Treatment

• Manual therapy
• Rotator cuff and scapular strengthening
• Postural correction
• Activity modification
• Progressive exercise programming
