Emma is a Sports Physiotherapist that specialises in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sports performance. She specialises in the prevention and treatment of knee injuries, particularly ACL and meniscus injuries. Emma also has a particular interest in running injuries, racket-sport injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. She provides a ski specific injury prevention service within clinic.
Emma has an MSc in Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes and BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Bath. Emma has the goal of providing patients within the clinic with an elite athlete experience, through data collection and evidence-based rehabilitation. She utilises advanced VALD technology, to inform injury screening, rehabilitation and return to sport.
For many years Emma dedicated herself to playing professional tennis; representing Great Britain on multiple occasions. Emma’s tennis career was hampered by injury leading to her retirement from the game and inspiring her to become a Physiotherapist. The experiences that Emma has had throughout both her Physiotherapy and tennis career have contributed towards her passion for sports injuries and her drive to positively help others return to sport. Since retiring from tennis, Emma has gained an interest in running, hiking, skiing and padel.
Emma is based in our Ashton clinic on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-2pm.
