Justine Waloch - Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Lymphoedema specialist

Justine has been committed to helping people achieve their goals as a Chartered Physiotherapist since qualifying in 1995. Her enthusiasm for helping as many people as possible has sparked an interest in a holistic approach which benefits the sporting elite as well as those struggling with chronic pain. Her ability to empathise and really feel what is going on in the tissues started over 20 years ago when she worked as a nursing assistant then in sports and therapeutic massage. Knowing she could really make a difference to peoples’ lives she studied at the highly respected University of Queensland where she learnt how to apply clinical reasoning to best practice.
She has been fortunate to work and study with internationally renowned Consultants and Physiotherapists in upper limb, spinal, lower limb, foot and ankle and hypermobility rehabilitation. Acupuncture has been one of her many useful tools since 2005 and her success resulted in an invitation to teach on the British Medical Acupuncture Society Foundation Courses in 2010. Growing appreciation of the role of the immune and lymphatic systems in pain and healing inspired a qualification to manage complex lymphoedema problems in 2011.
Over her career she has been fortunate to work in centres of excellence both in the UK and abroad in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. Having spent six years in Australia studying and working, she did her Hospital rotations in Chichester, with further work in Southampton and Bournemouth General Hospitals and Oxford Radcliffe.
International experience was gained in Redland Hospital Queensland, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Rotorua and Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital, Dublin. She was also encouraged to become a yoga teacher in Dublin and the experience of seeing progress mentally and physically with long term practise including breathing awareness has been a great inspiration for her.
In 2005 she was head hunted to take over a busy service in Kensington offering Home Visits and Occupational Assessments to the local area. She reduced this to one day a week when she returned to her family roots in Bristol to raise her son. She can frequently be seen out on the Downs in all weathers keeping her fitness up. She was not so long ago a keen runner, rock climber and Ultimate Disc Frisbee player with (albeit disappointed) dreams of making the GB womens’ team as a new graduate.
Justine is HCPC registered and is a member of the CSP, Physio First, AACP, BMAS & MLDUK. She is fully approved by all Health Insurance providers.
Justine is available for thorough assessment or triage diagnosis of all musculoskeletal problems. Treatment programs are tailored to your needs and goals. Home or ergonomic assessment visits are available as are one to one yoga sessions.
